Pray in secret And when you pray, be not like the hypocrites, for they love to pray standing inthe synagogues and on the street corners, to be seen of men. Truly they have had their reward. But when you pray, go into your room and close the door and pray to your Father in secret. Then your Father who sees whatis done in secret will reward you openly. Do not repeat the same words over and over when praying And when you pray, repeat not the same words over and over as the" "Gentiles do, for they think they will be heard becauseof their many words. Your kingdom come, and your Give us this day our daily bread, and forgive us our sins as we forgive those whosin against us. Let us not be led into temptation but deliver us from all evil. Forgive others and your own sins will be forgiven 18If you forgive" "others when they sin against you, your heavenly Father will also forgive you. For he who asks, receives, and hewho seeks finds, and to him who knocks, the door is opened. For which one of you if his son asks him for bread, will give him a stone? Or if he asks for a fish, will give him a snake? 21If you then, though you sin, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more" "will your Father in heaven give good gifts to those who ask him? Fast in secret 22And when you fast, do not look dismal as the hypocrites do, for they put on a mournful face to show others they arefasting. Truly they have had their reward. You cannot serve both God and wealth 27No man can serve two masters, for you will be devoted to one and despise theother. You cannot serve both God and wealth. Do not worry about food and drink 29Therefore do not be anxious about your life, and worry about how you will eat ordrink. Is not life more than food? Behold the birds of the air, they do not sow," "neither do they reap or store away inbarns, yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not of more value than they? And who of you by worrying can add a single hour to your span of life? Do not worry about clothing 32And why worry about how you will clothe yourself? Is not your body more than clothing? 33Behold the flowers of the field, how they grow, and they neither labour nor spin yet not even Solomon in all his glory was arrayed like one of these. First seek the kingdom of God and all these things will be yours Rather, seek first the kingdom of God and his righteousness, and all these things shall be yours as well. Wide is the gate that leads to Death 9Enter through the narrow gate, for wide is the gate and broad the way that leads to Death, and many enter through it. Narrow the way that leads to Eternal Life 10But small is the gate and narrow the way that leads to Eternal Life, and few there be that find it. Jesus came to fulfil the scriptures 11Think not that I have come to abolish the Law and the Prophets. I have not come to abolish the scriptures but to fulfil them. Jesus forgives the woman her sins Then Jesus said to the woman , Your sins are forgiven. Your faith has saved you. Go in peace. The other guests said among themselves , Who is this who even forgives sins?"
